04/23/08 Final Week of Classes This week, we will have short presentations by various groups on the hardware aspects of the course. Come prepared with a couple of slides to describe your work and then conduct the demo if you have something to show at this stage.
A one-to-two page report is needed by May 5th to complete your grading. This document should be something like a user manual for the lab work you conducted as part of this course.
We also need copies of your slides to be posted on the course website. Those who haven't sent them yet, please do so.
04/12/08 Week of April 14th We will have a short presentation on Crossbow sensors and then a demo on setting up a multi-hop sensor network and conducting some basic experiments.
03/25/08 This week's Class In view of the Grad Conference, this week's class is canceled. All of you should attend the conference on Wednesday at the Center for Tomorrow
03/10/08 Labs This is time to get started on the experimental parts. Let me know if you need to sign out any components.
02/27/08 Class #7 Today, we will have the presentation on Trust.
Note that if you want to go to the Netanium Lunch and Learn seminar on wireless security, let me know by an email by noon today. I need to send them the list of attendees.
02/05/08 Class #6 The first student presentation will begin this week. Others should start forming groups and select topics. You can also start the experimental work in the lab.
All the students registered in the class now have card access to the lab. Make sure that you keep the door locked all the time in 338 Bell. There are expensive equipment in the lab. We will set up a check-in check-out procedure should you have to take any equipment out of the lab.
02/05/08 Class #4 I will first complete the remaining material from the previous presentation (AES-CCMP, Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks Security). Following this, there will be a few short presentations on the research presentation topics for the students.
01/15/08 Class #1 This is an introductory class. We will go through the course contents and basic motivational issues. We will also look into WEP security and its weaknesses and introduce the 802.11i standards. Check Lectures to go to the slides.
