Since 1989, the editor and publisher of Tattvaloka has been Sri T. R. Ramachandran, who is now also a trustee of the Sringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation. During the last eight years, Tattvaloka has followed a scheme in which each issue is devoted to a particular theme. This has had the merit of presenting to its readers a whole collection of useful information about a given topic in one place. Articles in Tattvaloka are written by well-read scholars, but in an easy style that can be appreciated both by laymen and by other scholars. The articles have aimed at conveying various aspects of the Hindu heritage to readers, without getting lost in scholarly terminology, but at the same time, without sacrificing the integrity of the religious and philosophical information. Also, as per the wishes of Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha and Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamijis, the magazine is broad based. It covers all Hindu traditions, and does not restrict itself only to Advaita themes. The topics covered in the magazine include a wide range of subjects within Hinduism, including teachings of the upanishads, Saivism, Vaishnavism, Saktaism, Tantra, Yoga and Vedanta, including Advaita and other schools. Each issue has an Anugraha Sandesa, titled Jagadguru Speaks, with words of benediction from His Holiness Sri Bharati Tirtha, Sri Sankaracharya of Sringeri Sarada Peetham. In order to cater to all age groups within a family, and to Hindus in the West also, the format of the magazine has been slightly altered. In the new format, roughly a third of each issue is devoted to intensive coverage of one theme, while the rest of the issue carries more extensive coverage of diverse topics. Readers are invited to share their opinions about these layout changes by writing letters to the editor, which will be published in the forthcoming issues. In addition to Sri T. R. Ramachandran, the editor and publisher, and Sri V. R. Gowrishankar, the administrator of the Sringeri matha, Tattvaloka has a distinguished set of editorial consultants, including scholars like Dr. Karan Singh (New Delhi), S. Sankaranarayanan and Sumitra Gautama (Madras) and Swami Yogananda Sarasvati (Paris). The subscription rates for Tattvaloka are:
