Dr. Xin Wang is currently an assistant professor of the department of electrical
and computer engineering. Prior to joining the department, she was an assistant
professor in the department of computer science and engineering of SUNY at
Buffalo between 2003 and 2005, and was a Member of Technical Staff in the area
of mobile and wireless networking at Bell Labs Research, Lucent Technologies,
New Jersey between 2001 and 2003.
She
received the BS and MS degrees in telecommunications engineering and wireless
communications engineering from Beijing University of Posts and
Telecommunications, Beijing, China, respectively, and the PhD degree in electrical
engineering from Columbia University, New York, NY. She received the prestigious NSF CAREER award in 2005.
Her
research interests include mobile
and ubiquitous computing, wireless networking and systems, overlay and peer-to-peer systems, performance evaluations, and network security. Her
research projects are supported by National Science Foundation and National
Institute of Justice.
