Scheduling appointments

There is no need to schedule an appointment if you can drop by during my office hours (listed on my course website).

To current UB students willing to work with me on research projects

If you are current CSE or EE students and interested in working with me for research projects, please send me the following items.

  • A resume listing your education (including GPA) and experiences
  • A copy of your graduate/undergraduate transcript as well as a list of current on-going courses.

Note: I am an adjunct professor of EE. I also supervise graduate project and thesis for some promising EE students.

To perspective PhD candidates

Admission and financial aid decisions are made by Graduate Admission Committee (GAC) of CSE department. All the information you need on applying for admission to CSE graduate programs is available on the Web.  If your research interests include networks and systems, please indicate so clearly in your application through the CSE department.

I may recommend some students who have demonstrated exceptional research potential to the GAC. Particularly, I am interested in PhD candidates with interest in networks (research experiences are plus), and strong background in theoretical analysis and systems.  For me to consider, you should send me the following materials:

  • A resume listing your education (including GPA), standard test scores (GRE, TOEFL), experiences and publications (if any).
  • An electronic copy (if available) of your graduate/undergraduate transcript as well as a list of current on-going courses.
  • Personal statement about your career goal, your research interests and plan.
