July
1 - 11: Proof of concept for Globus
14-17 : PODC 2003, Boston

21-31 : Labs 1 and 2 for CSE486

August
01 - 14: Lab 3  CSE486
15-25 : Prepare the lab infrastructure.
 
26: School reopens.
September
Lab 1: Webservices.
October
Lab 2: Grid Framework and model operation.
November
Lab 3: Grid services on Globus.
 
 
 

 

Status: 11/11/2003:

Working on three fronts to set up a working grid: CSE grid with Dell Power Blades, CCR grid with Sparc 4s and stand alone grid for single person use. Requested access to SUNY Geneseo Grid.

7/27-8/27:

Met with Dr. Neal. Planning for the course. Updated the course model and outline. Discussed the evaluation methods with Institutional Review Board. Hardware arrived. Waiting to assemble the hardware.

7/21-7/26:

  1. Meet with Dr. Neal on assessment
  2. Meet M. Fritz reagrding SUNY Geneseo courses.

7/14-7/19:

  1. PODC 2003 Boston. MA

7/1-7/10

  1. Get Globus going: Ordered hardware with Kensmith's help.
  2. Upload and update web page: Done.
  3. Publicize cse486: Available on the web.
  4. Read OGSA recent draft.
