Algorithms for Convex Optimization, Non-convex optimization, Approximation algorithms, Combinatorial Optimization
Part 2 of the seminar (Spring 2013, lead by Hung Ngo) will be a continuation of Part I (Fall 2012, lead by Robert Platt). The second part covers algorithms for solving convex optimization problems with a focus on the relationship between the algorithms and problem structure, algorithms for non-convex optimization, combinatorial optimization, and approximation algorithms.
