Computer Science Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)/ Master of Business Administration (MBA) Joint Five-Year Program

The School of Management in conjunction with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers a five year program leading to both a Bachelor in Computer Science degree and a Master in Business Administration degree. This program reduces by one year the usual pattern of a four-year undergraduate degree and a two year MBA program.

A student wishing to pursue the joint program should make this known to the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering by the beginning of his/her admission to sophomore year. After admission into the Computer Science and Engineering Department and enrollment in appropriate prerequisite courses, the student will make application to the School of Management during the third year of study. An applicant is required to take the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) during the third year and complete the application by the end of the third year.

Admission will be limited to students who have demonstrated superior capabilities. Each candidate must meet all the degree requirements of each faculty, except for the reduction in total credit hours. Applications for the joint five-year program may be obtained in 206 Jacobs Management Center.
