The survivors. This picture was taken on Presque Isle, a little park outside Erie, PA. It is a peninsula made up of sand that has accumulated on this corner of Lake Erie. These two trees, like two lovers in an eternal embrace, are somehow hanging on to the shoreline despite the erosion of the beach. Quite touching. (Yeah, I'm a romantic... so sue me!).
A little inlet from the lake into Presque Isle. It was a clear spring day, and the contrast between the yellow grass and the blue sky and the water was wonderful.
