The survivors. This picture was taken on Presque Isle, a little park outside Erie, PA. It is a peninsula made up of sand that has accumulated on this corner of Lake Erie. These two trees, like two lovers in an eternal embrace, are somehow hanging on to the shoreline despite the erosion of the beach. Quite touching. (Yeah, I'm a romantic... so sue me!).

These pictures are in reverse-chronological order by date; but within the same day, they are in chronological order. :-)
