Patrice

I am a first-year PhD student at UB in the Computer Science and Engineering department. My area of research is Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, and my advisor is Dr. Stuart C. Shapiro. I have specific interest in implementing empirically grounded theories of Emotion in formal logic and ultimately the design of autonomous agents and multi-agent systems. The best way to contact me is to send me at aliseyed AT buffalo DOT com.

On 9/21/07 at SNeRG I presented material completed during a directed study from my MS in CS at Boston University, Reality TV interactions and rules.

During the Fall 2007 Semester I worked on a project for CSE663 Advanced Knowledge Representation and Reasoning for a SNePS Agent for the QPR Suicide Prevention Method. A sample interaction is available here.

During the Spring 2008 Semester I am working as a RA for Dr. Shapiro on a DoD grant dealing with benchmarking and optimization of SnePS 2.7.

On 2/8/08 at SNeRG I presented on Emotion Theories. This is apart of the literature review necessary for beginning my research on computational models of emotion.

Feel free to contact about any of the related topics.
