I'm a UB Alumnus currently looking for a job as a Unix software developer
I finally remembered to take a snapshot with my QuickCam. Not a particularly great picture of me, but this is not a globally mourned tragedy, since GQ isn't exactly knocking down my door to be on their cover. To fill in the rest of the context just imagine a somewhat stocky, shaggy Unix guy with brown hair tied back in a pony tail, standing about 5'9" and looking slightly more psychotic than stereotypically necessary. There, now you've got the gist of the thing.
I took up long distance running last year and have run in a few 5K and 10K races. I like to write a bit, tinker with Linux, listen to alternative music, play a bit of chess, FRPG, read science fact, fiction, history, and philosophy. I tour the net, indulge in skeptical inquiry, and create applications to make my hobbies more fun.
My Jury Duty Experience
Read about my experience serving jury duty.
Hector's Story
I very much enjoyed reading The Iliad. It even inspired me to write a quick parody.
Amusing Words
Varous interesting bits of language, plus my favorite word so far this year.
Evil Things
I present an ongoing list comprised of semi-ranting commentary on things which make my teeth itch.
Cool Web sites I frequent.
