About

I am a PhD candidate in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB). I received my M.S. in Computer Science from UB in Spring 2004 and returned to pursue a Ph.D. in 2006.

My interests include: Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Cognitive Science, Intelligent Agents, and related topics.

During Summer 2010 I defended my dissertation proposal, MGLAIR: A Multimodal Cognitive Agent Architecture.

Last year I worked as a Research Assistant for an interdisciplinary project that involved reasoning about medical ontologies in psychiatry.

Previously, I was a Reseach Assistant with UB's Intermedia Performance Studio (IPS). My work with IPS is described in more detail here.

Before returning to UB in 2006, I was employed full-time as a Software Developer at Buffalo Computer Graphics, where I spent my time working on the DisasterLAN incident management system and related software. I also worked with Buffalo Computer Graphics during the summer months of 2007.
