Pad Library from Tanner CES
Student designsmust fit into MOSIS
TinyChip units. In AMI 0.5 micron technology this is 1.5*1.5 mm.
Larger designs can be fabricated using
multiple tinychip units , but this requires our prior
permission. Pads are 300*300
microns, so the effective circuit area available for your design is 900 *900
microns.
There are two pad frames available
for us.
Unzip the file: gunzip AMI_PADS.tar.gz
Untar the file: tar -xvf AMI_PADS.tar
Add the library AMI_PADS to your
library path. This can done by using the Edit menu of
Library Manager. Once the library
appears in your library manager , select the cell min_frame
and instantiate it into your layout
to use the Pad frame.
Please look at the documentation
for a description of the Pad Pins Pads_doc.pdf

FAQ for AMI 0.5 micron Pad frame to use this pad frame.
- Alternatively, we can
use a Pad frame provided by UTK AMI_0.5Pads.zip. You need to use "unzip AMI0.5_Pads.zip",
then it is unzipped to a library(directory). After you unzip the directory,
remove the zip file to save some disc space. This pad frame has re-arranged
input output pins and markers on the pads. Do not reference
link 19.

with an inverter connected, you can reference that for your circuit pin connections.
