Getting
Started With Cadence
Working with Cadence requires some familiarity with
Unix & X-windows. If you are not familiar, you may end up with lots of
problems in debugging your setup & running the tutorials mentioned below.
We strongly suggest making yourself comfortable with them.....otherwise why
not magic itself!

- Affirma Spectre circuit Simulator.
- NCSU Design Kit
This is not
a tool, but contains all the technology related rule files & libraries
which are indispensible for your project. Look at the tutorials section on
how to become familiar with this design kit.
cdsdoc
This is the cadence online documentation.
This is more or less like an encyclopedia, which you will take time to get
used to. You can start this by typing "cdsdoc &" at the
unix prompt. This contains all the tutorials necessary for you to start using
the above softwares.
