BOF Panel on OBS e-forum (1:30pm - 2:30pm)
Moderator: Arnold Bragg, MCNC RDI |
| Optical burst switching (OBS) advocates from several organizations have
established an electronic forum to enhance OBS research via discussion and
collaboration, to broaden the awareness of OBS within the telecommunications
and networking industry, to accelerate OBS' adoption and deployment, and to
discuss strategic topics and issues related to OBS interoperability and
standards. WOBS 2003 will host a BOF-like moderated session to discuss the
OBS e-Forum's organization, structure, ground rules, goals, and focus; to
solicit participants, moderators, and advisors for the e-Forum; and to
decide how the OBS community might use the e-Forum to advance OBS research,
industry awareness, and deployment. The OBS e-Forum is open to anyone
interested in OBS.
