How to Download Your Own Copy of Karel the Robot onto a Windows PC
-
Download Karel by linking to:
-
If you are using Netscape, then:
Netscape will bring up a "Save As..." Dialog box.
-
If you are using Internet Explorer, then: Internet Explorer will ask
you "Run this program from its current location" or "Save this program to disk".
-
Choose "Save this program to disk".
-
It will then bring up a "Save As..." Dialog box.
-
In either case,
save the program somewhere on your computer.
Make sure you know where it is. (A good place is in
C:\Programs)
-
Now you have an icon called "Karel" on your computer. Run the program
by double-clicking on it. This will install Karel the Robot on your computer.
-
To run Karel, find the Karel icon that looks like Karel does, namely, an
upward-pointing arrow. Double-click on it.
