HW #1, Part 2: EMAIL AND KAREL THE ROBOT

1. Take a look at the latest version of the syllabus, at
   http://www.cse.buffalo.edu/~rapaport/111F00/syl.html

   to find out the email address of the TA who is in charge of your lab section (it is either Mr. Maurice Jansen or Ms. Tatiana Mihaylova).

   Hint: You can find the relevant section immediately from the online version of this HW document by clicking on this link:

   Send your TA an email message containing:

   • your full name

   • the email address you prefer to use (which need not be the email address you send this mail message from)

   • your lab section (L1 or L2 or ... or L8)
   Hint: You might be able to send the message directly by clicking on your TA's email address on the syllabus (but that may depend on which machine you are accessing the Web from).

   DUE DATE:  THIS EMAIL MESSAGE MUST BE SENT NO LATER THAN:  WED. SEP. 13

2. On the Web, link to Karel the Robot at:
   http://math.otterbein.edu/Class/Csc100/Karel/web/Karel/Karel.htm

   (You can also link to Karel the Robot from our syllabus, at the "IMPORTANT DATES & TENTATIVE SCHEDULE" section. Once you have successfully linked to Karel from the syllabus, click on the "Home" button on the Karel page.)

   Print out that page (the table of contents), and then link to, and print out all 11 lessons.

   DO NOT HAND THIS IN, BUT KEEP IT, SINCE YOU WILL NEED IT FOR ASSIGNMENTS IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO.

   You should begin reading it, too!
