Translating from the language of propositional logic to English is easy:

When you say: Translate it this way:

-p         It is not the case that p

(p ^ q)    p and q

(p v q)    p or q (or both)

(p -> q)   if p, then q

(p + q)    p xor q (or: p or q but not both)
           (PS: Only computer scientists speak this way :-)

(p <-> q)  p if and only if q (or: p iff q)
