"Will anything about informal proofs be on the exam, for example
proving something using the definition of even and odd?"

Reply:  
Let's just say that there will be informal proofs and that the
even/odd kind is fair game, but so are proofs about set theory,
math induction, binary relations, and functions (e.g., proving
whether a given relation is anti-symmetric or whether a given
function is onto, etc.).
