Rapaport" Subject: 575: Term Paper Page Limits To: CSE575-FA08-LIST@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Subject: Term Paper Page Limits ------------------------------------------------------------------------ As I reminded you in class this morning, your term paper should be no longer than 10-15 pages (preferably nearer the 10-page end of that range), because I have to read 40 of them (i.e., I have to read the equivalent of a 500-page book in the next week or so :-) On the other hand, many of you have been asking if you really need to squeeze everything you want to say into a mere 10 or so pages. So, I'll compromise: First, don't forget that your bibliography does *not* count towards your page count. Second, I'll allow you to have as many pages of footnotes as you want. So all of that "important" information that you can't squeeze into 10 or so pages, and all of that information that you don't want to cut out, and all of that information that you're not sure whether it needs to be included can all go into the footnotes. I may or may not read the footnotes, but at least all of your information will be there :-)
