Subject: Position Paper Revisions From: "William J. Rapaport" Date: Tue, 20 Apr 2010 16:14:39 -0400 (EDT) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Subject: POSITION PAPER REVISIONS ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Throughout the semester, I have allowed you to fix small errors (e.g., missing, peer-edited, first drafts; improper citations; incorrect terminology) on your position papers in order to regain lost points. Only a few of you have taken me up on this offer. THE OFFER STILL STANDS. 2. IN ADDITION... You may completely revise ONE of your position papers and resubmit it. The revision should not be substantially longer than the orginal; i.e., please try to keep to the 250-500-word maximum. (If you somehow manage to revise a good paper into a bad one, or a bad paper into a worse one, I'll give you the higher of the two grades, but it would be beneficial for all of us if you try to improve it :-) 3. The final deadline for all such revisions will be the day of the final exam (Monday, May 3, no later than 4:00 p.m., in my office (Bell 214) or in my mailbox (Bell 211)). Hardcopy ONLY; no emailed documents. Please *staple* ALL previous versions of the revised or corrected position papers to the new versions.
