HW #8: ATNs
For this homework, you will implement (in SNaLPS) portions of
the ATN grammar from
Allen,
James
(1987),
Natural
Language Understanding (Menlo Park, CA: Benjamin/Cummings, Ch. 4 (see
handout).
Begin by implementing Grammar 4.4 (p. 86). Then modify it for Grammars
4.9-4.13.
Do as much as possible within the time frame allotted (2 weeks, but if
you need more time, let me know).
You should hand in the following:

annotated grammar
-
lexicon
-
test suite of sentences
-
sample runs at trace level = 0 (i.e., just use the "(parse)" command)
If you prefer, you can do this as a group project.
