I've updated the syllabus:

This coming week (Oct 16), we'll discuss Putnam, Weyrauch, Steels,
Perlis, and possibly McDermott (if we have time and if Ken Anderson is
ready for his presentation).

If (big "if") we get through all of that, we'll discuss Franklin's LIDA.
