Hi, this is Soumya. I am pursuing my MS in Computer Science & Engineering at SUNY, Buffalo.

My primary area of work involves unapparent knowledge discovery from profusion of data, (high dimensional and high volume) using machine learning and rule based pruning. Currently I am working on pattern (graphical, link based, and content based) recognition from Blog data. I am advised by Dr. R. Srihari.

In a wider context, I am interested in deeper theories with wide application domain cover, and toying with statistical models, algorithms, graph theory and fitting them in different contexts fascinates me.

Prior to my graduate studies at Buffalo, I worked with TCS,as a software engineer for 4 years.and obtained my Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering in 2002 from Jadavpur University, India.
