Week #13 |
We will try to complete OS security and Program Security in Tuesday's class. The week after Thanksgiving, we will go over Intrusion Detection.

Week #12 |
We will start Week 12 with OS Security. There are no prepared slides.
Project 2 is due in class. However, Project 2 needs to be demonstrated as well. A sign-up sheet will be circulated in the class on Tuesday. Demonstration will take place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

We will start Week 11 with IP Basics.
Instructor will be out of town for Tuesday's class and hence, the TA will take the class on Tuesday. Recitations for this week are canceled.
Instructor office hours are also canceled. Contact the instructor through email if need be.

There is some delay in setting up Project 2. In the meantime, Homework #3 has been posted. Start working on it. It has two weeks time for submission. All submissions and material returns will happen in the class.

Midterm Details |
I have posted the solution to HW 2 on nickelback. You can login to this server
and print out a copy of the solution.
The midterm is on Thursday in the class. Calculators are allowed. It is a closed book test.

This is the week of midterm. Check the lecture webpage for more details.
Recitations will be held as usual. Also, I have posted solution for HW #1.
You will have to logon to either pollux.cse.buffalo.edu or nickelback.cse.buffalo.edu and change directory to ~shambhu/cse56509. You can copy solution into your
directory using FileZilla or sftp. Let me know if you have any problems.

Monday morning recitation is canceled due to Yom Kippur. However, remaining recitations for the week will be held. Those who miss the Monday morning recitation, try to attend the other recitations (Monday at 6:00 pm at 103 Talbert or Wednesday at 10:00 am at 219 Clemen).
