Research Interests
My research interests are in the area of computer communication networks and protocols with emphasis on optical networks.  Some of the research areas that I have worked and am interested in the future are:
  • Optical Wavelength Division Multiplex networks, Optical Internetworking 
  • Fault tolerance and survivability schemes in Optical networks 
  • IP over Optical networks 
  • Mobile, Wireless and Personal Area Networks and related technologies
  • Computer Security, Information Assurance and Distributed Computing
  • Optical Burst Switching (OBS) paradigm, scheduling, blocking analysis
  • Optical, IP, MPLS network and traffic modeling, planning, design and performance analysis
  • Telecommunication Management Systems, Network and Element Management Systems
