The International Workshop on Self-Powered Systems, Engineering Technologies and Applications (SETA)

November 7-9, 2016 -- in conjunction with International Green and Sustainable Conference 2016 at Hangzhou China

Introduction

IEEE SETA 2016 is the international conference in the field of self-powered systems. It aims at bringing together researchers worldwide working in the self-powered technologies to exchange innovative ideas and develop collaborations.

Self-powered system can be defined as a completely self-sustained system powered by its own renewable energy. The particular area of work is the concept of full powered systems requiring zero or ultra-low power. The exploited technologies include self-powered sensors, ultra-low power architecture, and dynamic systems.

Prospective authors are cordially invited to submit their original contributions covering completed or ongoing work related to the self-powered systems. IEEE SETA workshop positions itself as a venue for science and engineering researchers to publish their research and discovery, including those have potential to enable innovations but not yet ready for real-world applications. This will also demand a higher-level system integration, modeling, abstraction, and analytics, given numerous amounts of data available in this eco-system.

This workshop will bring together researchers and developers from academia and industry to advance the technologies in the design, development, deployment and evaluation of self-powered computing, communication and systems.

The topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:

1. Low-Power to Self-Powered Systems:

2. Energy-Constrained Information Processing, Methods, Tools:

3. Applications of Self-Powered Systems:

Author Information

The workshop invites authors to submit papers in the above mentioned areas that describe original and unpublished work that are not concurrently under review elsewhere.

The papers submitted to this workshop is limited to be six (6) single-spaced, double-column pages (with IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: 11-point fonts and 8.5 x 11 inch), which should include everything (e.g., abstract, research description, figures, tables, and references).

All submissions will be reviewed by the program committee. Once a submission is accepted, at least one author needs to register the conference following the instructions on IGSC webpage, and attends the conference to present the work.

The accepted papers will be included in the supplementary proceedings of IGSC, which will be published by the IEEE Computer Society and indexed by EI.
