Short Biography

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University at Buffalo, SUNY.
Currently, I am working under the supervision of Dr. Jan Chomicki.
I received my B.Eng. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2002 and M.Sc. degree from National University of Singapore in 2004.

Research
|
My research interests are: preference queries and their applications, management of uncertain data, pervasive computing and logical foundations of databases. My current projects includes
- Uncertainty in preference queries: top-k queries in probabilistic databases and their application in pervasive data management;
- Non-1NF preference queries: query languages for preferences over complex objects and the corresponding computational problems.
